🚨🐍COBRAS VS VIKINGS🐍🚨

On the 11th November the Cobras travelled to local rival rink Solihull to face their first challenge of the season. Also the first time the Cobras have faced the Solihull Vikings. Starting with a minutes silence to remember those who fought for us to be able to enjoy such freedom and events like this.

1st period started with an early goal from your Cobras side. 4 minutes in it was Ash Tyrrell who sent the puck straight into the top corner on the penalty kill. What a way to shock such a well experienced and established team like the Vikings. It was end to end stuff but that’s how the first finished.

2nd saw the Cobras double their lead after just 38 seconds after puck drop with another well rehearsed delayed penalty goal. With Ash Tyrrell screening and a good tip sees new signing Danny Barkers blue line laser hit the back of the net. Just 3 minutes later 88 Arnis Meijers and after two years out, steals a rebound to send us up by a comfortable 3 goals. The final half of the second the Vikings found some space. In the 33rd and 36th minute they managed to put two goals in bring that comfortable lead down to 1.

Final period saw both It’s teams fighting hard but with new netminder David Roxbourgh in net stopping everything that came his way it gave the boys in front a boost. 12 Jordan Leigh finds himself on a break away which he sinks in style. With Cobras on a PP the puck finds its way to Player/coach Rob Owen on the blue line who bullets the puck through traffic and it takes us back to the comfortable 3 goal lead.
